Behind the Scenes
How We Create Our Books
The author works closely with a field expert to create the content framework.
The author incorporates expert suggestions. Proofreading, illustration, and layout design follow.
Before printing, the text is sent to a group of ~50 reviewers. This includes child psychologists, educators, and most importantly, parents of children facing the specific challenge (e.g., autism, divorce). Their feedback ensures the story is safe, realistic, and truly helpful.
Final changes are made based on feedback before the book goes to print.
Bonus Materials: After publication, we continue to create supplementary materials: Worksheets, coloring pages, lesson scenarios, and we even record a song matching the lesson theme. We have these ready for some of the books. They constitute great support for teachers.
